ABOUT PARISI SPEED SCHOOL
Our History
Bill Parisi founded Parisi Speed School in 1992 after graduating from Iona College with a bachelor’s degree in finance and earning two Division I Track & Field All-American honors in the javelin throw.
After traveling the world to learn from respected coaches and study effective athletic training techniques, Bill started Parisi Speed School with a $500 van.
The organization has since grown to more than 100 locations across over 30 states and countries. According to Parisi’s history, its programs have trained more than 650,000 athletes, from middle school competitors to professional athletes, including first-round draft picks in major sports.
Today, Parisi continues to focus on applying evolving sports science and human-performance techniques to athletic development.
WHY PARISI?
Confidence & Self-Esteem
Athletic development is about more than physical ability. Structured training can help athletes improve their skills, recognize their progress, contribute to their teams, and develop greater self-confidence.
At Parisi Midland Speed School, we believe helping athletes believe in themselves is an important part of their development.
Strength & Injury Risk Reduction
A strong athletic foundation helps athletes prepare for the demands of their sport. Our programs focus on improving strength, speed, flexibility, endurance, and movement skills.
Through structured training and proper movement techniques, athletes can build physical readiness and help reduce their risk of injury. No training program can eliminate injury risk entirely.

All training programs include the signature Parisi Active Dynamic Warm-Up, Speed Development Skills Protocol, and ongoing performance assessments to monitor progress and support athletic improvement.

THE PARISI EVALUATION
Your First Step Toward Athletic Success
Every athlete entering the Parisi program must complete an evaluation. This process helps our staff understand each athlete’s current abilities, determine appropriate training placement, establish goals, and develop a training strategy.
Evaluation Cost: $50
What Happens During the Evaluation?
1. Active Dynamic Warm-Up
Athletes learn the signature Parisi Active Dynamic Warm-Up, which is performed before every training session. This portion takes approximately 30 minutes and helps evaluators observe basic movement skills.
2. Running Mechanics Analysis
Evaluators observe running technique, including arm and leg mechanics, head position, and torso position. These observations help identify areas for improvement and guide training recommendations.
3. Performance Testing
Athletes complete a series of tests to establish a performance baseline.
-
- 10- and 20-yard dash: Measures acceleration and speed using a laser timing system.
-
- Vertical jump: Evaluates lower-body power.
-
- 5-10-5 shuttle drill: Measures agility, directional changes, and lateral movement.
-
- Five broad jumps: Assesses horizontal power.
-
- Chin-up test: Measures relative upper-body strength.
-
- Lower-body flexibility screen: Assesses hamstring, glute, and hip flexor flexibility.
4. Results Review & Program Selection
After the evaluation, the athlete and parent meet individually with the evaluator to review results and discuss the most appropriate training program.
Families can then select their training program online and begin working toward their athlete’s goals. Having the athlete’s schedule available can help make enrollment easier.
