Here at Midland Sports Rehab we specialize in alternative, conservative management of Low Back Pain. It is the primary condition evaluated and treated within our facility. Our providers are specifically educated and trained on the effective treatment of low back pain and its underlying causes.
Diagnosis is key to providing appropriate care
All patients start with a highly specialized, hands on physical exam for musculo-skeletal and neurological pathologies that results in a specific diagnosis.
Chiropractic care often includes regional specific manipulations that are performed via diverse methods. Manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities such as electrical stimulation, laser light therapy, or spinal decompression may be part of care as well.
Low Back Pain Recovery Program candidates will also receive a recommendation to see a physical therapist to perform specific exercise programs to address mobility restrictions and stability deficiencies that contribute to low back pain.
Physical Therapy Approach
Understanding dysfunction and how it contributes to pain
Low Back Pain Recovery Program patients will receive a proprietary functional exam to identify areas of dysfunction.
Using a multidisciplinary approach, the chiropractor and physical therapist have developed exercise progressions to address dysfunction while decreasing pain.
Exercise progressions are patient and diagnosis specific and include timelines and outcome expectations.
Integrating physical therapy separates our LBP Recovery Program from other providers in the area.
We utilize MI regulations that allow our patients to engage with a highly trained physical therapist without the need of a prescription.
Realistic goals the patient can see and achieve
At the onset of the LBP Recovery program, goals and expectations for care and outcomes will be set between the patient and providers to ensure a customized approach and realistic benchmarks for progress.
Constant assessment during treatment and scheduled re-evaluations throughout the program allow our providers to update patient progress and remain aggressive with the course of treatment.
Our program also accounts for contingencies if the patient is not progressing or reaching their goals.
